Piano and Dentist

Exciting news to share... we now have a piano. We've been looking for one for a while now. After very little luck, one of Joseph's friends mentioned he was getting rid of his. So we got a piano this week! Ashton loves playing the piano at church so we knew she would love one in the home.

Ashton also went to the dentist. On our insurance, you need a referral to see a pediatric dentist. I preferred a pediatric one as I felt they would do better with young children. The downside is the closest pediatric dentist is 45 minutes away. It wouldn't be fun to take her twice a year to that. But first we had to see how she would do at our dentist. She is great at brushing her teeth at home with her electric toothbrush so is not scared of that noise. And she lets me floss pretty well. But loud noises scare her so I figured she would cry the whole time. Nope! She proved me wrong. She sat on my lap and let them count her teeth, floss, and use the electric toothbrush with no resistance. They even used the water sprayer and sucker/straw thing without any hesitation. She acted like she'd done this every day of her life. I was beyond proud! We did find out that she definitely has two teeth fused together as opposed to one tooth that split. But the dentist is fairly optimistic that her adult teeth will come in fine. I was so busy being in shock of her sitting still that I didn't get a single picture. So just imagine a two year old smiling and that was her. First dentist experience is a success!
