What we've been up to

If you would have asked me what I prayed for the most during my pregnancy, I would say a healthy baby. However, a close second to that was a baby who sleeps. I am a person who needs some decent sleep every night and if that doesn't happen, life isn't too great the next day. So when welcoming a baby into our family, I was nervous about losing sleep. However, Heavenly Father not only blessed us with a healthy baby, He also blessed us with a baby who enjoys sleeping (at least for right now). Ashton lets me sleep for about three hours at a time at night, which is wonderful! She continues to go to sleep pretty well, which helps too.

Joseph and I have loved spending the past week with our baby girl. We knew she would change our life and she has. But all for the better. This past week was spent learning more about her and working together to understand her needs. Here are some highlights:

First sponge bath. She cried for most of it.

Terrible picture of me. I blame it on the flash. But she is wearing her little ducky towel.
One Week Old!
I love having her sleep on me sometimes. It makes me smile so much.
First Sunday at Church. We only have dresses in size 0-3 months so it was huge on her. But she'll grow into it. She slept during all of Sacrament meeting!
We also went on our first walk (she slept) and we went to the mall one night. It was rainy outside and I needed to get out to walk around. She slept for that too. Ashton also had her first doctor appointment last week. Her height is about the 80th percentile and her weight is about the 50th percentile. We go back next week so we'll see how much she's grown. She is finally growing out of preemie diapers... HOORAY!
